Mission The Preschool seeks to establish a safe and healthy learning environment which appreciates early childhood as a unique and valuable stage of development. In an environment that nurtures self-esteem, the Center provides young children with the means to develop physically, spiritually, socially, emotionally and cognitively with an emphasis on self-reliance skills. Children are guided to achieve their full potential in the context of individual and community relationships that are based on trust, positive regard, faith commitment and respect.

Location The entrance for the Preschool is on 2nd Ave with ample parking for picking up and dropping off children. We are close to museums, the library, cultural attractions, and many businesses. HISTORY St. Luke’s Child Enrichment Center was opened 21 years ago with the generous support of parishioners. St Luke’s Episcopal Church has a long philanthropic history in the community and is one of the oldest churches in downtown Billings. Extensive renovations were made to the education wing of the church building to create a beautiful preschool space.

STAFF The Child Enrichment Center has an excellent teacher:student ratio of 1 to 6. Our lead teacher, Katie Schneider, has been with SLCEC since 2017. She has a Masters of Education and taught Kindergarten in the Billings Public Schools prior to joining the preschool. Our teaching assistant, Pam Kemmick, joined SLCEC in 2021. She brings a wealth of experience working with children in many different facets and is an incredible asset to the preschool.
